2021 will remain an emotional edition for Lydia, who embarked on the Pink October adventure seven years ago. “We lost one of our colleagues, Sylvie, at the end of September. Despite this painful episode, the Chartes team, led by Lydia, Véronique and Benoit, did not give up for a month. We collected almost 5,300 euros in donations in boxes and carried out two solidarity walks,” comments Lydia. There were about ten of us at the Foulées Roses on 16 October and we won the trophy for the largest number of participants at La Chartraine on 31 October.
With the help of two other colleagues, Lydia also found time to make 90 chemo caps for the association “Mon Bonnet Rose”. They were then given to the oncology department of the Chartres hospital.
