For several years, Kiabi’s action has focused on employment, education and health. In 2020, Kiabi wanted to direct its action towards the families that Kiabi has been supporting for over forty years throughout the world.
“Faced with the health and economic crisis, we decided to support associations and medical structures that help vulnerable families”, explains Olivier, Kiabi Life Leader. At the heart of this project is the implementation of a financial support plan of 200,000 euros for associations in the field to carry out emergency actions in France, Italy, Spain, Belgium and Portugal, accompanied by a donation of 300,000 items of clothing in partnership with the Red Cross and local associations.
This support for the most vulnerable families is aimed particularly at young mothers, women who are victims of abuse and domestic violence, destitute homeless people, families in precarious situations and disabled or dependent people. Among the actions carried out, a contribution to the financing of the Red Cross concierge service, support for the Solfa association which fights against violence against women, the distribution of emergency childcare kits to French maternity wards, an initiative in favour of workers and families in Bangladesh and a food donation to families housed near the Dreams School in Ashulia.
The Foundation allows each Kiabi employee, everywhere in the world, to create his or her own project or to participate in an action in partnership with an association.
