“When Kiabi contacted Croix-Rouge insertion at the beginning of 2020, I was impressed by their knowledge of the social inclusion sector and their desire to act quickly and concretely to turn a problem (end-of-season unsold goods) into a solution promoting inclusion through employment. In less than a year and in the midst of a health crisis, we have deployed the “Petit Magasin” project in three Red Cross Integration establishments in Pau, Poitiers and Marseille. On these sites, the local Kiabi teams got involved with us by providing the clothes, furniture and equipment to set up a real “Petit Magasin” corner in our shops, but above all by offering a lot of time to pass on the know-how and key skills of their jobs to our employees in professional transition. After a little more than a year of collaboration, the results are very positive for Red Cross Integration. Our integration programmes are more professional, and employees who wish to do so have been able to benefit from periods of work experience at Kiabi. The first employees who have completed the training course are expected to be hired this summer.
What I particularly appreciate about our collaboration with Kiabi is that we work together in a simple and direct way. The Kiabi Life community is very involved in the projects supported. This is a real plus. Our contacts are very present on the ground. They quickly make the link between the needs we have and the Kiabi teams throughout France to help us meet them.
